FUND RAISING
Normal operating costs:
Our annual operating costs are in the region of £14,000.
Although we rely significantly on our volunteers, funds are required for the hire of horses & ponies, the purchase of clothing and specialised equipment, special tack and insurance. No charge is made to the riders or schools involved.

How we raise funds:
We have been very generously supported by local companies, financial institutions, groups and associations. Schools, organisations and work places have raised money on our behalf with various sponsored events, Individuals have run marathons and waded through mud for us and companies have even climbed mountains. We are amazed at the lengths people will go to raise money for us and to each and every one of them we are enormously grateful.
Please carry on. Virtually every penny goes towards the costs of providing the horses and ponies and equipment for our riders to enjoy this experience safely.

Community Involvement:
We are involved in community events such as the Guernsey Race Club's annual meet at L'Ancresse in May where Committee and volunteers run a 'Tea Tent' selling home-baked goodies, tea, coffee and soft drinks.
Over the years we have taken stands at various bazaars and fetes (for example the Beau Sejour Christmas Charity Event, the GSPCA Summer Fun Days and the Town Church Christmas Tree Festival). We have collected parking donations at the Torteval Scarecrow event, sold books at the Saumarez Manor Farmers' Market and run a tombola and sold Christmas cards at one of Le Friquet's Christmas Shopping Evenings
